CANCELLATION OF THE 2020 STATE OBEDIENCE CHAMPIONSHIP TRIALS

The Obedience Advisory Committee has very reluctantly made the decision to cancel the State Obedience Championships which were to be held on Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th September.

We had hoped to be able to go ahead with the trials but the continuing issues concerning the CIVID-19 virus has brought about this decision.

The Committee decided that it was too great a challenge to properly manage the running of the trials within the current safety guidelines and to safeguard the health and well-being of the Judges, Stewards, Competitors and members and officials of the South Australian Obedience Dog Club (who were hosting the event).

We sincerely regret any disappointment that may be felt because of this decision, but we have a duty of care that we must take very seriously.

The Committee has also made the decision that the annual Top Dog Awards will not be presented for 2020 because of the severely reduced number of trials.  All Titles and qualifying scores achieved during the 2020 qualifying period will count towards the 2021 awards.
