SPECIAL GENERAL MEETING OF MEMBERS

CONDUCTED 22 OCTOBER 2008

Council wishes to express their appreciation to Members who attended this meeting in respect to proposals for the permanent covering and lighting of the eight rings at SACA Park.

The consensus of the members who attended this meeting indicated no clear direction was achieved as an outcome. Council after consideration of the discussions has concluded the feeling of the membership was not necessarily against the proposed improvements but rather the lack of information provided prior to and at the meeting.  There was clear indication that significantly more detail was required before members could make an informed decision.

For this reason Council has agreed to review their proposal presentation and re-present to the members in 2009 the proposals as concepts only for consideration. Council will provide at this reconvened meeting budget estimates and funding proposals for both current and future improvements. Members will be given the opportunity to vote either for a preferred option/concept or whether Council should discontinue the investigation of these improvements.

A notice will appear in a forthcoming edition of the Dogs SA Journal advising the time, date and agenda of the reconvened meeting.
