Open to dogs of all breeds, sizes and ages, Trick Dog is suitable for those wanting a fun activity with their family pet to experienced trainers looking for a new challenge. Every dog can learn, and training is tailored to suit each dog's individual abilities, confidence and personality.

Using positive reinforcement, dogs learn a wide variety of tricks while building confidence, focus, body awareness and problem-solving skills. Handlers develop their training skills too, enjoying the satisfaction of seeing their dog eagerly offer new behaviours and grow in confidence.

Whether you simply want to teach your dog some fun tricks, strengthen your partnership or work towards recognised titles, Trick Dog offers something for everyone.

The Trick Dog Test

Dogs Australia Trick Dog Tests provide an enjoyable way to recognise your dog's training achievements.

Handlers and dogs perform a selection of tricks appropriate to their level, demonstrating teamwork, confidence and the skills they have developed together. There are a range of levels to suit beginners through to advanced teams, allowing everyone to progress at their own pace.

As teams successfully complete each level, they earn nationally recognised Trick Dog titles while continuing to expand their dog's skills, confidence and enthusiasm for learning.

Many people enjoy Trick Dog purely for the fun and enrichment it brings to their dog's life, while others use it as a steppingstone into other dog sports or enjoy the challenge of working towards higher titles.
